Description: The offset tool creates new objects based on existing ones at a specified distance.

How to open: Type at least “o” in the command line, or click the button in the home ribbon.

Uses: Easily create the second side of a wall, the other side of a road, or the inside wall of a circle.

Sub-commands: There are three options when the command is first opened: Through, Erase, and Layer. You may also just type the offset distance. Through skips distance input and lets you directly select an object, then specify the distance afterward. Erase gives the option to delete the source object. Layer lets you choose what layer to place the offset object on.
